Summerset Festival; Potted Pinafore, Friday 10th February 2012.
The City of Stirling sponsors an annual Summerset Festival at the amphitheatre on Scarborough Beach. We presented a highly successful “Potted Pirates” in February 2011, and propose to present “Potted Pinafore” on February 10th 2012.
This is a slightly shortened version of the well known and much loved HMS Pinafore to suit the outdoor setting and stage on Scarborough beach. All the fun will be there – the Captain who is “hardly ever sick at sea” and the first Lord of the Admiralty who has never been to sea!
Around 7 pm, just after sunset, Scarborough Beach is just the place to join us for mirth and music.
Hundreds of people enjoying Potted Pirates at Scarborough Beach in February 2011
The audience at “Potted Pirates” was large (estimated 1000 or so) and most enthusiastic. We hope for no less to “Potted Pinafore”. Again, all are most welcome to this free event.
